"I DO"

Mrs. Holbert

Emily Holbert met her husband, Mack, when they both worked at Pep Boys on Washington Road. After lots of flirting, Mr. Holbert asked her for a date.

But Mrs. Holbert, at the time six months pregnant, was hesitant about starting a new relationship and she stood him up. The next day at work, she found out he had not shown up either. In spite of her reservations, she felt a pang of anger at being stood up - even if he did have a good excuse.

The event gave the two plenty to talk about and laugh about. Their second date was a great success.

"We've been together ever since," Mrs. Holbert said.

The two were married in October. Her daughter, 3-year-old Selena, was the flower girl.
