ST. GEORGE -A man charged with homicide by child abuse in the death of his 6-year-old autistic son has surrendered to police.

Terrence Britt was accompanied by his lawyer when he turned himself in and was booked into the jail, said Dorchester County sheriff's Maj. Tim Stephenson.

Arrest warrants for Mr. Britt and his wife, Renee, were issued this week, more than two years after the body of their son, Gabriel Britt, was found in a pond near their home.

Mrs. Britt was arrested Tuesday evening and denied bond.

Workers find camera in doctor's bathroom

CHARLESTON -A dermatologist has been charged with three counts of peeping after police seized a video camera from his James Island office bathroom.

Dr. Michael Forrester Warren, 51, surrendered to police.

Three female employees told police Tuesday they discovered a video camera in the bathroom, a wire running from his desk to a television set, and another wire running through a wall into a bathroom soap dispenser that is across from the toilet, police said.

Investigators seized a miniature camera and five videotapes as evidence, Lt. Richard Moser said.
