AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Madeleine J. Livingston, 81, of Augusta, beloved wife of the late Mr. Dautel Livingston, entered into rest January 2, 2003, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church on Monday, January 6, 2003, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Gerald Varner officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Additional survivors include one son, Del Livingston of Newman; two daughters, Linn Liles of Beech Island, Claire Tankersley of Florence; one sister, Betty McGarrah of Augusta; five grandchildren, Robert and Emily Tankersley, Carrie Averett, Doug and Elizabeth Livingston. Mrs. Livingston was born in Montgomery, Ala. A graduate of University of Alabama where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, she also attended the University of Tampa. Mrs. Livingston worked for Harris and Ewing Photography in Washington, D.C. She was an artist, a photographer and a teacher. A member of St. Mark United Methodist Church for the past 50 years. She was also a member of Faith Discussion Class and the Madeleine Livingston Prayer Group. Mrs. Livingston taught for 25 years at Garrett Elementary School. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Faith Discussion Class and the Madeleine Livingston Prayer Group.
