STAPLETON, Ga. - Mrs. Lizzie Bell Kitchens, 92, widow of Mr. George R. Kitchens Sr., of Kitchens Rd., died Friday, January 3, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2003 in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Jones and Dr. Randy Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Kitchens was a lifelong resident of Glascock County, She was a homemaker and a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include five daughters, Annette Key and Sadie Kitchens, both of Stapleton, Lollie Dell Todd, Gibson, Julia Massey, Thomson, and Lynn Mayo, Norwood, six sons, John Weldon Kitchens, Sr., Hephzibah, Milo Kitchens, Sr., Hull, Harry Kitchens Sr., George R. Kitchens, Jr., and James R. Kitchens, all of Stapleton, and Julian Kitchens, Wrens, 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday night at the funeral home.
