JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. Paul K. "P.K." Greene Sr., 70, of Malson Street, Jackson, who died January 1, 2003, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., from the Matlock Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Riser officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Greene was a native of Portsmouth, Va., having been a life long resident of Jackson. He was a member of Matlock Baptist Church, the Brotherhood and was Sunday School Secretary for many years. He was a member of the last graduating class of Ellenton High School, a former member of the Jackson Town Council from 1990 to 1991, and former Mayor of Jackson, having served two terms from 1991 to 1999. Mr. Greene was retired from E.I. Dupont Company at the Savannah River Site where he had been an electrician, lineman and supervisor with the E and I Department. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. Mr. Greene was the father of the late J. Keith Greene. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patty Greene; a son, P.K. Greene Jr., Jackson; a daughter, Judy Greene-McLeod, Beech Island; three grandchildren, Dorothy Kay Greene, Travis Lee Greene and Hayley McLeod, a sister, Frances Harley, North Augusta, a brother, James A. "Jimmy" Greene, Augusta. Pallbearers will be Ronnie McIver, Oliver Williamson, Tony Chambers, Jay Jarrett, Joe Cassels and Bruce Goff.
