AUGUSTA, Ga. - James David Enelow, devoted husband of Cathy T. Enelow and son of the late Sam and Gussie M. Enelow died Thursday, January the 2nd at 5:45 p.m. in the Intensive Care Unit at Doctors Hospital. A native Augustan, Mr. Enelow was a retired educator in the Richmond County School System. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy, Augusta State University, and Georgia Southern University. He taught at A. R. Johnson Junior High and Hephzibah High School prior to his retirement in 1988. He is survived by his son, James Tison Enelow of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Samuel M. Enelow of Augusta; and two nephews, Jason and Johnathan Enelow. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, January 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Platts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clarence Murphy officiating. Private graveside services and interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Greater Augusta, 326 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
