STAPLETON, Ga. - Mr. Halbert D. Elferdink, 77, of Fire Tower Road, Stapleton entered into rest January 2, 2003 at the VA Medical Center, Augusta. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Mary Lou Hotalling. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Jo Elferdink, Orlando, Fla.; two sons, William A. Elferdink, Orlando, Fla., Paul Elferdink, Tallahassee, Fla.; and his loving companion Doloris Skinner, Stapleton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Elferdink was born in Holland, Mich. and moved to Orlando, Fla. in 1951 where he was a self-employed general contractor. He also had a farm in Stapleton since 1987. He was a member of Christ Church Unity. He also served in U.S. Army and served in WWII. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 1795 Fire Tower Road at his farm at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends after the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michael J.
