HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Gov. Mike Huckabee is going to miss out on his Georgia peach ice cream, but Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes will enjoy orders of McClard's barbecue next week.
Hot Springs' famous McClard's restaurant said Thursday that it is going to pay Huckabee's wager with Barnes in last week's Southeastern Conference championship game. Arkansas lost 30-3 to Georgia at Atlanta.
Restaurant owner Joe McClard has volunteered to pack and send the barbecue dinners to the Georgia Governor's Office on Tuesday.
Huckabee made a similar wager, but with higher stakes, when Arkansas played Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl last year.
In that wager, Huckabee bet Gov. Frank Keating an Arkansas duck hunt against an Oklahoma quail hunt. Arkansas lost 10-3 and Keating collected on his trip in January.
