COVINGTON, Ga.- Gy. Sgt. Billy V. Mobley, 71, U. S. Marine Corps Retired, of Covington, went to his home in heaven on November 29, 2002, He was born in Chambers County, Alabama on March 18, 1931. In serving his county in the Marine Corps for 23 years, he received 17 medals during his tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He leaves behind his wife, Martha Lois Hill-Mobley; two sons and daughter-in-law, Randall Hill Wrye and Elizabeth H. of Covington; Robert Wayne and Susan M. Mobley, of Gautier, MS; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie L. and Jimmy R. Morgan of Adairsville; a brother, Troy D. Mobley of Augusta; sisters, Doris L. Beehner of Naples, Fla; Joyce M. Mobley of Atlanta; Jean E. Spradlin of LaGrange; Angelene M. Kenney of Newnan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Douglas R. Beehner; Robert L. Kenney, Raymond and Dorothe A. Hill of Lakeland, Fla; Gus Hill of Troy, Ala; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6- 8 p.m., November 30, 2002 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Al. The funeral will be in Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, December 1, 2002, at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy, Al. Dillard Funeral Home.
