Mr. Howard Johnson (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, November 29, 2002 at his residence, Mr. George Howard Johnson, 83, husband of the late Mrs. Lois D. Johnson. Graveside services will be conducted 2 pm Saturday, November 30, 2002 at Westover Memorial Mark with Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. Mr. Johnson was a native of McBee South Carolina and had made Augusta his home for most of his life. He was the owner and operator of Augusta Lawnmower Parts on Broad Street. He was very knowledgeable when it came to mechanics and his knowledge was well respected. Mr. Johnson was sales manager at Bearings and Parts here in Augusta. He was in the Army Air Corp serving in WWII. Survivors include his son George Harold Johnson, Heidelberg, Germany; two daughters, Katherine Jean Langham, Charlotte, NC and Patriacia J. Atchinson, Augusta, four grandchildren, Kelle L. Clark PHD, Brad Atchinson, Greg Johnson, Christina A Ewing, three great grandchildren, Brandon Ewing, Abigail Ewing, Amelia K. Clark In lieu of flowers the family suggesst memorials be made to the American Cancer Society 2623 Washington Rd. Augusta, GA 30904. A visitation with family will be held Saturday November 30, 2002 from 11-1p.m. at Platts Funeral Home on Crawford Ave. Platts Funeral Home 721 Crawford Ave. 733-3636
