Mr. Emory Farmer (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Emory "Mr. Emory" Farmer, 85, husband of the late Mrs. Margaret B. Farmer entered into rest on Friday, November 29, 2002, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2002, at Westview Cemetery with Frank Wall and Preston Johnston officiating. A native of Windfield, Mr. Farmer retired as a Weaver from the John P. King Mill. He was a member of the Central Christian Church for the past 45 years and a former member of the Harrison Bible Class. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Farmer of Augusta; two daughters, Wanda McWatty of Martinez and Rebecca Wilson of Augusta; a sister, Elizabeth Taylor of Martinez; six grandchildren, Nancy McWatty Martin, Jay McWatty, Lee Wilson, Hilary Wilson, Jamie Farmer, Emily Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Barrett Wilson and Alyssa Farmer. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church Recreation, 220 Crawford Ave., Augusta, GA 30904. Pallbearers will be Claude Andrews, Brad Martin, Jay McWatty, Wendell Moore, Ed Gilliland, Tommy Attaway, Bruce Poole and Jamie Farmer.
