GREER, S.C. - Dorma Jeanne Fayssoux Bowden, 75, wife of Lee C. "Neil" Bowden, of Devenger Road, died November 28, 2002. Born in Augusta, Ga. she was a daughter of the late Rhea and Dorma Blitchington Fayssoux. Mrs. Bowden was a graduate of the 1948 class of the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She served many years as a Volunteer Chapter Advisor during which time she was awarded National Chapter Advisor of the Year by the Sorority. She was an avid reader and lover of words. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons and daughters-in-law, Lee C. and Jean Robinson Bowden Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., Rhea F. Bowden and close family friend, Bett White of Greenville, and John B. and Nancy Haile Bowden of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Amy Bowden and David G. Mathis of Simpsonville; granddaughter, Meg Bowden of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Joan Fayssoux Dalee and brother-in-law, William W. Dalee Jr.; and six nieces. Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, with the Rev. Wayne Horne officiating. Interment will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Oconee Hills Memorial Park, Athens, Ga. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
