Don't judge a book by its cover

Recently I did a commercial for the United Way. I have heard some people talking about a comment about me in the Rants & Raves section of The Augusta Chronicle. I would like to comment on that.

I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I would just like to let this particular person know that I am 18 years old, and for him to write in the paper about a "$300 gold chain" is crazy. I did the commercial for a good cause. If they picked me, it must mean I presented some good qualities to the United Way.

Just as everyone else works hard, I work very hard for everything I have. I am currently working for the Medical College of Georgia, full time. If he has a problem, he should go to the United Way - not me. Please don't judge people for what they look like.

A special thanks to the United Way for picking me and to the writer; he should grow up and worry about his own kids.
