AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, November 16, 2002, at his residence Mr. Arthur K. Hunter, 43, of Emery Hills Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 21, 2002, at 11 a.m. from W.H. Mays Mortuary Chapel with reverend Cecil Gresham officiating. Interment will be in White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomson. Mr. Hunter was a native of Richmond County. He was a former member of Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church and also attended Hudson Memorial C.M.E. Church. Mr. Hunter received his education in the Richmond County public school system; he also attended the C.S.R.A. Easter Seal Foundation and the Roosevelt School for the Handicap, Warm Springs. He competed and won Gold and Silver Medals in the Georgia Special Olympics 1972-73. Survivors are one brother, Johnny D. Hunter, Augusta; three sisters, Sylvia Holmes, Phyllis Hunter Bryant and Mary Richardson, all of Augusta; four step brothers and one step sister; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
