Mr. Jack Anderson (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)



NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Jack E. Anderson, 78, beloved husband of Joyce Gilliam Anderson, of Hunts Grove, entered into rest Saturday, November 16, 2002 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at today at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Dr. Eleazer Benenhaley and Dr. Raymond Crow officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jay Moon, Josh Moon, Chad Blackston, and Drew Blackston. Charles Blackston, Sr., and Charles Blackston, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Briggs Bible Sunday School Class. Mr. Anderson was a native of Ft. Dodge, Iowa and was a World War II Army veteran. He was retired from Savannah District Corps of Engineers at Fort Gordon. Mr. Anderson was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, the Briggs Bible Sunday School Class and he was a Deacon. He was a member of the Belvedere Masonic Lodge, National Railroad Historical Society, and past member of Checkerboard Square Dance Club. Additional survivors include two daughters, Marty Moon of Jensen Beach, Fla., and Kerry Blackston of North Augusta; four grandsons and one granddaughter, Shea Blackston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to St, Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
