AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest Friday, November 15, 2002, at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., Mrs. Dorothy M. Farmer wife of Major Ret. Forster R. Farmer of Martinez. Other family members include her daughter, Deborah L. Farmer of Clayton, N.C.; a brother; nephew; grand nephews and cousins, all of Canada. Mrs. Farmer is a native of Toronto, Canada. She has lived in Augusta since 1966. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She was a member Emeritus of Martinez Chapter No. 464, Order of the Eastern Star. She served as Past Worthy Matron and Secretary of Elizabeth Chapter No. 43, Organist for Martinez Chapter No. 464, Past Grand Organist for the State of Georgia and other appointed Grand Offices of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Grand Cross of Colors of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of the choir at St. James United Methodist Church, the Columbia County Republican Committee, a Ft. Gordon Bowling Team and the Augusta Lynx Boosters Club. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at 1 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Wasiluk and Dr. Robert L. Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son. Friends may call at Thomas Poteet and Son until noon on Tuesday.
