I just had to write and say how much I agree with Dr. Patricia Palmer in her Nov. 8 letter, "Applauds Les Miserables cast," concerning her praise for the Augusta Prep performance of Les Miserables.
I also do not claim to be a drama critic, but I am quite a theater buff. I have seen Les Miserables five times - twice on Broadway and three times in London's West End, and was extremely impressed with just how well our local talent compares to the world's finest.
My 15-year-old niece and her friend came away enamored with Brad Cameron, who did an excellent job playing, of all characters, Thernadier. While the entire cast, as well as orchestra and crew, should be commended, Susannah McCleod and Jonathan White were outstanding. Augustans would be wise to keep an eye on these kids. I suspect it is very likely we will one day see that these folks are performing on Broadway.
