Mrs. Eva Cartee (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Eva Lee Jones Cartee, 96, of Augusta, beloved wife of the late Mr. Wallace W Cartee, entered the arms of the Lord on Thursday morning, November 14, 2002 at Doctors Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church in Metter, Ga. on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 12 p.m. with Dr. Timothy Owings officiating. Survivors include her son, Hiram C. (Pete) Cartee of Augusta; Three Sisters, Ruth Clark of San Antonio, TX., Pearl Tarver of Metter, Anne Stewart of Edgewater, Fla.; Two Grandchildren Carol Hall of Grovetown, and Jim Cartee of Augusta; Two Great Grandchildren, Melissa Castle of Grovetown, and Bridget Burke of Grovetown; And One Great Great Grandson Caleb Burke. Mrs. Cartee was a native of Metter, Ga., but lived most of her professional life as a resident of Orlando, Fla. She retired from Minute Maid in 1970. Mrs. Cartee moved back to her native state of Georgia in the early 70s and has lived in Augusta since 1991. She was a loving and caring Wife, Mother and Grandmother and a life long member of Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church in Metter, Ga.
