ESTERO, Fla. - Florida's Joe Blaznek and Ryan Murphy scored two goals apiece as the Everblades swamped the Augusta Lynx 5-1 at TECO arena Friday night.
Murphy got the Everblades on the board first, but Augusta's Brent Gauvreau tied it with 59 seconds left in the first, beating Florida goalkeeper Rob Zepp.
It was the only shot that got past Zepp, who stopped 29 of 30 chances. Lynx goalkeeper, and Phoenix Coyotes prospect, Colin Zulianello wasn't as sharp, stopping 33 of 38 shots.
The Everblades put the game away with four straight third-period goals. Blaznek scored back-to-back goals, then Murphy picked up his second. Tom Nelson finished the scoring just 34 seconds after Murphy's last goal with just over a minute left in the game.
After the game Augusta's Lance Galbraith was involved in an incident with a fan. According to the head linesman's account, as Galbraith was going off the ice, a fan was pounding on the glass. Galbraith reached through a crack in the glass toward the fan, but no contact was made.
