BLACKVILLE, S.C. - The Hawks got three first-quarter touchdowns to advance to the Lower State semifinals in Class A.

Sidney Davis caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Isaac then, following a turnover, Mickenzie Atterberry scored on a 37-yard run. Tharry Salley capped the early outburst with a 33-yard touchdown run for Blackville-Hilda (11-1). Atterberry finished with 157 yards on 27 carries.

The Hawks only allowed a punt return for a score for Latta, which managed just 68 yards of total offense and turned the ball over five times. Blackville-Hilda advances to play the Johnsonville-Estill winner at home next Friday night at 7:30.


EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Andrew Doran became the first player in school history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season as Wardlaw moved into the SCISA Class A state championship game.

Doran ran for 116 yards and a touchdown and now has 2,024 yards on the season for Wardlaw (13-0). It led just 7-6 in the first quarter before scoring four more first-half touchdowns to put the game away.

Kevin Molony went 7-for-13 for 198 yards and three touchdowns passing, then ran for 65 yards and two more scores for Wardlaw.
