FAIR PLAY

The Georgia-Carolina State Fair, presented by the Augusta Exchange Club, continues through Sunday at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds on Hale Street. The midway will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight today, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to midnight Sunday. Admission with unlimited rides is $15 in advance; $20 at the gate. Advance tickets are available through www.tixonline.com, Koger-Walters Amoco stations, the Imperial Theatre box office, Harmon Optical in Southgate Place or by calling (803) 278-4TIX. Admission only is $5.

TREE TIME

The Junior League of Augusta's annual Festival of Trees continues through Sunday at the Augusta Mall on Wrightsboro Road. The fund-raiser features 45 themed Christmas trees, which will be sold at a silent auction ending at 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the Festival of Trees is free. For more information, call 736-0033.

COZY QUILTS

The Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History will present its annual quilt exhibition through Nov. 30. The show features antique and modern quilts by local artisans. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 2-5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. For more information, call 724-3576.
