AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Elvira A. "Kitty" Fletcher, age 74, of Augusta beloved wife of Leonard M. Fletcher Sr. entered into rest on Monday, November 4, 2002 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at Platts Crawford Ave. Chapel Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at 3 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Additional survivors include three sons, Leonard M. Fletcher Jr. of Grovetown, Daniel E. Fletcher of Hephzibah, David W. Fletcher of McBean; three daughters, Louise A. "Tonie" Fletcher of Martinez, Brenda E. Miller of Augusta, and Miriam P. Herrin of Hephzibah; three brothers, George S. Anderson of Augusta, Daniel S. Anderson III of Martinez, and Thomas Otey Anderson of Martinez; four sisters, Alice Schieberl of Augusta, Ivey Funderburg of Appling, Martha Ann May, Appling, Billie Mae Richey of Hampton, Va.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fletcher was a life-long resident of Richmond County,. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the families caretaker. Pallbearers will be Allan Brown, Anthony Brown, Lennie Fletcher, Kevin Kandt, Joey Anderson and Ricky Schieberl. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry Lynn Anderson Fund at Berry Childrens Center at 3114 lake Forest Dr., Building 310, Augusta, Ga. 30909. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Platts Funeral Home on Crawford Ave. Platts Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Ave., Augusta, GA 733-3636.
