First printing of book sells out

Augusta-based publisher Harbor House announced Two Rivers by Naomi Williams has sold out of its first printing of 5,000 copies.

Harbor House was founded in 1997 by Randall Floyd, author and former history professor at Augusta State University. The company's titles are marketed through large chain stores through an agreement with the National Book Network in Washington.

Orders drop for second straight month

WASHINGTON - The nation's wobbly manufacturing sector saw orders to factories drop by 2.3 percent in September, the second straight monthly decline.

The industry, hardest hit by last year's recession, has been recently struggling to keep its balance.
