EVANS, Ga. - Dr. Harry Cornelius Pund Jr., 80, of Washington Commons, entered into rest on Friday, November 1, 2002, at his residence. Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at 11 a.m., with Reverend David Hunter from Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, officiating. Survivors include four sons, Harry C. Pund III and wife, Dianne of Evans, John Peter Pund of Alpharetta, David C. Pund and wife, Nancy of Deltona, Fla. and James P. Pund and wife, Gayle of Holman, Wis.; two daughters, Laura Pund Morgan and husband, Michael of Augusta and Margaret Pund Anderson and husband, Scott of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Thomas Irvin Pund of Decatur and Edgar Rudolph Pund II of Appling; one sister, Harriet Pund Memel of Augusta; 12 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Dr. Punds wife, Patricia Cowan Pund, preceded him in death. A native of Augusta, Dr. Pund retired from the United States Navy as Captain after 37 years of service. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and a Harris Fellow with Rotary International. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
