WARRENTON, Ga. - Mrs. Elsie Lester Kitchens, 84, beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles D. Kitchens of Norwood Road died Saturday November 2, 2002, at the Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Warrenton with the Rev. Dr. Rob Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrenton City Cemetery. Mrs. Kitchens was a native of Paulding County, but a Warren County Resident for many years. She was retired registered nurse and served as Warren County Public Health Nurse for 29 and a half years. She was a graduate of the Crawford Long Hospital School of nursing, Atlanta and a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton where she taught Sunday school for 24 years. Survivors include two sons, James Lester Kitchens of Arnoldsville, and Charles Dillon Kitchens Jr. of England; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist church of Warrenton. Friends may call at the residence or from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
