NEW ELLENTON, S.C. - Mr. Clarence Oge Couvillon, 75, of Old Whiskey Road, S.W., entered into rest November 1, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 4, 2002, at Corinth Baptist Church, New Ellenton. The Revs. Brancie Stephens, Bruce Fox and Kirby Bunting officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Couvillon a native of Mississippi, lived in New Ellenton for 43 years and was retired from E.I. Dupont, Savannah River Site. He also served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice Owen Couvillon; three sons, Jeff Couvillon, Litha Spring, Robert Couvillon, New Ellenton, and James Kendrick, Aiken; one brother, Frank Couvillon, Ocean Isle, N.C.; a sister, Irene Deal, Charlotte, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Couvillon and his parents, Clarence Oge Couvillon and Radie Irene Dismuke Couvillon. Pallbearers will be nephews.
