Man reports condo mugging

A North Augusta man told police he was attacked and robbed early Sunday at an Augusta condominium complex.

Rodney Lewis Moore said he was walking into a building at Country Club Hills Condos on Milledge Road at 1:43 a.m. when two men grabbed him and threw him to the floor, a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report states.

The men reportedly took Mr. Moore's wallet, which contained $600, and ran. Mr. Moore told police he had just won the cash in a pool tournament. No description of the robbers was given.

Boy says someone reached under stall

A 13-year-old Appling boy reported being touched by someone Saturday while in a restroom stall at Borders Books and Music.

The boy's grandmother told police she had dropped him off at the store, in the 200 block of Robert C. Daniel Parkway, at about noon and gone to another store, a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report shows. When she returned 15 minutes later, she said, her grandson said he had gone to the restroom and had been touched on his left knee by a man who reached under the stall door, the report states.

The boy said he kicked at the hand and heard the man run from the restroom.

Reward offered for gas station robber

A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Beech Island convenience store during the weekend, authorities said.

Tipsters can receive between $100 and $1,000 for information leading to the arrest in Friday night's robbery of Todd's Shop and Go No. 1 in the 1100 block of Sand Bar Ferry Road, Aiken County sheriff's Capt. Michael Frank said. The armed robber demanded money from two employees and then ordered them into a back room before he left.

The robber is described as white, 6 feet 1 inches tall and 160 pounds, with hazel-blue eyes. He wore a blue sweat shirt and blue jeans. His left eyebrow is pierced.

Augustan says 4 men attacked him in street

Police are investigating an Augusta man's report that he was attacked Saturday night by four men in the 100 block of Ellis Street.

Terry Eugene Yeary said he was walking at about 9:15 p.m. when four men approached him and punched him, a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report states. He said the four assailants left in a 1980s Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Woman reports man hit her with stick

An Augusta woman said someone attacked her Saturday night inside a residence in the 1200 block of 13th Street.

Monique M. Johnson, of the 1400 block of Walton Way, saida man walked into the home at about 8:20 p.m. and hit her with a stick for no reason, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.

Ms. Johnson described the man as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and in his late 20s. He had a scar on the right side of his face.
