EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Strom Thurmond scored all its points in the first half to take charge of the Region 5-AAA game and set up next week's showdown with Midland Valley.
Thurmond, 3-1 in the region, will be at Midland Valley in a game that could decide the region championship. Midland Valley is unbeaten in league play after Friday's victory over A.C. Flora, which came into the game unbeaten in the region.
For Thurmond, Kevin Weaver had 139 yards rushing, including a 13-yard touchdown.
