Wardlaw tops Cambridge



EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Andrew Doran scored a late touchdown and Wardlaw Academy's defense forced a turnover to preserve a victory in an eight-man football game.

Doran's 36-yard touchdown run 1:47 left in the game put Wardlaw in the lead against the previously unbeaten visitors.

Cambridge then marched downfield, making it to the Wardlaw 12 before T.J. Edwards lost a fumble. It was recovered by Wardlaw's John Sullivan.

Wardlaw improves to 10-0 while Cambridge drops to 8-1.

Doran rushed for 151 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Therin Puckett passed for 328 yards for Cambridge, hitting Edwards 11 times for 270 yards.
