EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, October 20, 2002, at the Doctors Hospital, Ms. Thelma Taylor of Mims Road, Evans. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 25, 2002, at 11 a.m., at Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, Evans with Rev. Robert Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Lincoln County, a member of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church where she served on the Ushers Board and other committees of the church. She was a retired V.A. Health Technician. Survivors are two sons, David Ralph Taylor and Walter Taylor; four daughters, Rachel Taylor, Peggy Jean Taylor, Harriett Taylor and Dorothy Louise Mays; one brother, Walter Taylor Jr., Evans; two sisters, Emma Louise McCord, Evans and Bertha Overton, Martinez; daughter-in-law, Maxine Taylor, Evans; son-in-law, William Mays Jr., North Augusta; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Willie James Collins, David McCord, Evans; sister-in-law, Sally Mae Taylor; aunts; a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour os service. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 10:30 a.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd.
