MILLEN, Ga. - Mr. Ulysses Sharpe, 65, died Saturday, October 19, 2002, following several months of incapacity. Prior to his passing, he had been confined to the Windermere Health and Rehabilitation Center, Augusta. Mr. Sharpe was a member of New Light Baptist Church, and a retiree of Planters Electric Company. Survivors are his wife, Lenora Sharpe; four sons, Bobby, Steven, Ulysses Jr., and Travis Sharpe; three daughters, Anne (Carver) Smith and Zelda S. Williams, Augusta, Barbara (Tony) Woods, Tampa, Fla.; two stepchildren, Donnie (Sonya) Andrews, Millen and Priscilla (Sherlton) Phillips, Tampa, Fla.; sister, Dorothy (Joseph) Horne, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five brothers, Robert (Geraldine) Sharpe, Millen, Victor Williams Jr., Americus, Ga., Eddie Williams Sr., Yulan, N.Y., Leroy Williams, Delridder, La., Eugene Williams, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2002, at First Baptist Church, 307 Old Waynesboro Road, Millen. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m., at Dwights Funeral Home, 326 Old Waynesboro Road, (478)982-1667.
