DARLINGTON, S.C. - Sarah Lula Parnell Moody, of Beech Island, formerly of Darlington, age 69, and widow of Robert Moody, died in the University Hospital in Augusta, Tuesday, October 22, 2002. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m. in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with interment following in Grove Hill Cemetery, Darlington. Mrs. Moody was born in Darlington County, daughter of the late Daniel Hoke and Mattie Whittington Parnell. She was a housewife and a member of Second Baptist Church of Beech Island. Surviving are three sons, Robert "Buddy" Moody Jr. of Texas, Harold "Butch" Moody and Randall "Randy" Moody both of Aiken; two daughters, Karen R. Boroughs and Janice Bargeron both of Augusta; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; also, two brothers, Jams Parnell of Warner Robbins and Cecil Dutton of Darlington; one sister, Betty Jean Jones of Hartsville. The family will receive friends Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
