An article in Thursday's edition of The Augusta Chronicle concerning the sentencing of Carlton Winslow Coleman Sr. should have stated that his son, Carlston W. Coleman Jr., was convicted in December of kidnapping, burglary, armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle and a weapons charge in the robbery and slaying of Sam's Club manager David Holt.
The younger Mr. Coleman was also convicted of violating Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations law, which included the crimes of false imprisonment and assault in the double homicide of two young Augusta men found dead in Warren County.
The Chronicle regrets the error.
