VAN WYCK, S.C.- M rs. Edith S. Moore, 87, of Van Wyck, S.C., died Monday, September 16, 2002 in the Kentwood Nursing Home, Augusta. Born December 24, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Fred F. and Dallas C. Starnes, and the widow of Taylor "Ted" Melville Moore, Jr. She was a homemaker and member of Van Wyck Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Johnny L. (Penny) Faulkenberry of Columbia, S.C., and Mrs. Richard B. (Anne) Taylor of Augusta, two sons; Taylor M. Moore, III of Calhoun, Ga., and Edwin N. Moore of Aiken, S.C.; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Miss Wilma Starnes of Van Wyck, S.C. and Mrs. Beulah Friberg of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and one brother; Mr. Keith Starnes of Van Wyck, S.C. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her brothers; Raeford Starnes, Kermit Starnes and Frank Starnes, and sisters; Mrs. Eunice Yoder and Mrs. Jackie Harper. Graveside service is Thursday, September 19, 10:30 a.m. at the Van Wyck Cemetery. The memorial is 11 a.m. at Van Wyck Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy McSpadden and Rev. Bill Nisbet officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, at Mahaffey Funeral Home, 201 N. Catawba St., Lancaster, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Van Wyck Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 68, Van Wyck, S.C. 29744 or the Van Wyck Methodist Church, P.O. Box 7, Van Wyck, S.C. 29744.
