Falcons guard out 6-8 weeks with broken bone in foot

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons guard Roberto Garza broke a bone in his foot in the team's loss to the Chicago Bears and will miss six to eight weeks.

Garza hurt his foot on the first series of Sunday's game, but stayed in the lineup. Coach Dan Reeves said Monday that the injury will require surgery.

"By the time he showered and everything, he couldn't put pressure on his foot," Reeves said. "He really did an unbelievable job of trying to stay in there and play."

Kynan Forney, who has been slowed by a nagging turf toe injury, should replace Garza.
