WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Savella F. Hall, 95, of Academy Avenue, entered into rest September 12, 2002, at Burke Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 3 p.m at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 841 Jones Avenue, Waynesboro, with Pastor Richard Holland officiating. Burial will be in Pines Cemetery. Mrs. Hall grew up in Burke County where she became a teacher at Rowland Grove. She was a former member of Second Antioch Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She later lived in Philadelphia, Pa. for many years where she retired as a licensed practical nurse. Upon returning to Burke County, she became a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon. Cherishing her memory are her six children. Lula Hall, Trevose, Pa; Sue Hall, Opelika, Al; Anna Jo(Hewitt) Powell, Harlem, Ga; Peggie (Albert) Bizzell, Philadelphia, Pa; James Hall and Esther Moore, both of Waynesboro; 20 grand children, 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren , and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Youth Ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the residence or at Phinazee and Son Funeral Home, 404 W. 8th St., Waynesboro, on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m.
