A first-quarter safety was all Augusta Christian needed to beat Stratford Academy.

The Lions got some insurance points in the second quarter on Cole Rabun's 69-yard touchdown run. Rabun led all rushers with 126 yards on 21 carries.

Wardlaw Academy 68, St. John's 0

EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Andrew Doran rushed for 232 yards and scored five touchdowns as Wardlaw Academy ran its record to 3-0 with a 8-man football victory over St. John's.

Doran scored on runs of 4, 12, 73, 40 and 35 yards and also caught a pass for a two-point conversion.

Brentwood Academy 28, John Milledge Academy 21

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Brentwood Academy scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to beat John Milledge Academy.

Brentwood, 3-0, was led by Stephen Everett's 208 yards and three touchdowns.

Screven County 32, Southeast Bulloch 10

SYLVANIA, Ga. - Will Cambell scored two touchdowns as Screven County breezed past Southeast Bulloch.

Cambell returned a punt 60 yards for one score and caught a 23-yard pass for the other.

Aquinas 22, Our Lady of Mercy 13

FAIRBURN, Ga. - John Kain rushed for 160 yards and Bryson Trulock threw a touchdown pass as Aquinas turned back Our Lady of Mercy.

Trulock connected with Jarrett Gilbert on a 15-yard score pass in the second quarter.

Blackville-Hilda 21, Barnwell 10

BLACKVILLE, S.C. - Quarterback Brandon Isaac scored two touchdowns as Blackville-Hilda beat Barnwell in a battle of Barnwell County powers.

Isaac scored on runs of 7 and 44 yards and Herman Banks added an 18 yard run for Blackville, 2-0. Barnwell scored on a pass from Ryan Grubbs to Michael Jackson and Justin Croft's 27-yard field goal.


LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Taveras Stokes opened up the scoring with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Lincoln County romped past McCormick.

The Red Devils, 1-1, led 14-0 at halftime, then put the game on ice with a 21-point third quarter.


Nathanael Greene Academy scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass in overtime to turn back Curtis Baptist.

Curtis Baptist forced overtime when Sean Peters scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.


WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. - Chad Smith kicked a 16-yard field goal in overtime to lift South Aiken and Rashad Hunter past Airport.

The field goal was set up when South Aiken's Bernard West forced a fumble on Airport's first play in overtime. Four plays later, Smith kicked the game-winner.

Hunter rushed for 309 yards on 43 carries and scored all of South Aiken's touchdowns, on short runs.


BATESBURG, S.C. - After a scoreless first quarter, Batesburg-Leesville scored 25 unanswered second-quarter points and then held off Strom Thurmond for the victory.

Thurmond, down 32-7 entering the final quarter, scored 19 points in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough.

DeKayus Keith rushed for 164 yards and Devito Johnson had 160 for Batesburg, 2-0.


SALUDA, S.C. - Antwan Dozier's two third-quarter touchdown runs lifted unbeaten Saluda past Ridge Spring-Monetta.

Dozier scored on runs of 3 and 7 yards to give Saluda a 27-13 lead.

The only scoring in the final quarter came when Saluda's Stanley Shamble went over from 1 yard out.

Dozier also scored on a 21-yard run in the second quarter and finished with 122 yards rushing.
