AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, August 28, 2002, at his residence Mr. Luscious Hartfield of Grand Blvd., beloved husband of Mrs. Jessie Ree Taylor Hartfield. Mr. Hartfield was a native of Columbia County but made his home in Augusta. He was a member of Mount Enon Baptist Church, Evans of which Rev. John Harmon is pastor. He was retired from the Augusta Housing Authority. Other survivors include four sons, Mr. Kedrick R. (Cynthian G.) Hartfield, Macon, Mr. Lucious Jerome (Cherly J.) Hartfield, Evans, Mr. Clinton S. (Latina M.) Hartfield, Evans, Christopher L. Hartfield, Hephzibah; daughter, Ms. Jennifer A. X. Hartfield, Chattanooga, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 2, 2002, at 11a.m. from Beulah Grove Baptist Church of which Rev. Dr. Sam Davis is pastor with Rev. John Harmon officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home. The Historic Dents Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800s.
