Gospel musician set to perform

Brian Matheny, a 16-year-old from McCormick, S.C., whose Southern gospel music is catching attention, will close the Chapel under the Pines summer season at 8:45 a.m. Sunday. Sponsored by St. John United Methodist Church in Augusta, services are at Clarks Hill Lakeside.

Workshop planned for church musicians

Integrity Music's Mark Condon will lead a music workshop at South Aiken Church of God, 2700 Whiskey Road in Aiken, at 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. Registration for the workshop is $35. A free concert with Mr. Condon and the workshop choir will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Pastor to speak at Unity Brunch

Registration begins for college tours

Registration for a spring tour of historically black colleges and universities will open Sunday at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, 1434 Poplar St.

Priest continues Theology on Tap

The Rev. Allan McDonald, pastor of the Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity, will kick off the next round of Theology on Tap with "Catholic Sexual Morality: Mission Impossible?" at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Metro Coffeehouse, 1054 Broad St. Happy Hour is at 7 p.m.
