BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Entered into rest on Thursday, August 29, 2002, Mr. Wylie "Tommy" Ivey, husband of Mrs. Helen Harris Ivey, of Owens Street, Beech Island. Surviving are four daughters Janice Fowler of Bennettsville, Cindy Krepps of Clearwater, Thea Hood of Beech Island and Julie Hamrick of Belvedere; two brothers, James Ivey of Augusta and Clarence Ivey of North Augusta. Additional survivors include 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Ivey was born in Augusta, to the late Clarence and Leatha Ivey. He retired from Clearwater Finishing Plant, a division of United Merchants and Manufacturing, with 32 years of service and he was a US Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of Langley First Baptist Church, Langley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3p.m. in the Langley First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Master officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Mr. Ivey will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Cliff Rains, Carl Grose, Gerald Brown, Deven Charnock, Robbie Krepps, Craig Dominick, Anthony Woods and Jonathan Hamrick. Friends may call at the residence or on Saturday from 7 to 9p.m. at the Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy. No.1, Langley, SC.
