Mrs. Cynthia Tillman (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Cynthia Bennett Oliver Tillman, 78, beloved wife of the late Mr. Paul E. Tillman, entered into rest on August 23, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11a.m. Monday, August 26, 2002, at Curtis Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Harris, Rev. Sherrell Dunn and Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Tillman will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia T. Bennett and Martha T. Panzella and Ben Panzella; two sons and daughters-in- law, Paul Lamar and Betty Tillman and Richard A. and Janice Tillman all of Augusta; five brothers, Robert D. Bennett of Valdosta, Lovett Bennett Sr. of Statesboro, Donnie L. Bennett of Sylvania, Bill S. Bennett and Chesley Bennett both of Augusta; ten grandchildren, Jennifer M. Tillman, Richard Kenji Tillman, Jonathan K. Tillman, Brett Bennett, J. Nichole Bennett, Tracey R. Bennett, Eric Tillman, Sarah Tillman, Cynthia Panzella and Mary E. Panzella. Mrs. Tillman was a 1943 graduate of Sylvania High School, a member of Curtis Baptist Church, also a former member of the Gracewood Baptist Church was was director of WMU of Gracewood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 until 5p.m. Sunday afternoon at Poteet Funeral Homes, South Chapel 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
