AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest Monday, August 12, 2002, at National Health Care Nursing Facility, Mrs. Louise P. Turner, 91, of North Augusta. She is survived by one daughter , Jane Dawson, of North Augusta; one son, Robert Mayson of Sterling, Va.; one sister, Emily Ford of Augusta and a half brother, Arthur Tillman Powell of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Turner was a native of the North Augusta area. She made her home at St. Johns Towers in Augusta. She was a faithful christian and avid church goer all her life. A founding member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Augusta. She was a member of the North Augusta Garden Club for many years. She retired as a school crossing guard for the North Augusta Police Department. Funeral services will be held today August 15, 2002, at 5 p.m., in the Crawford Avenue Chapel of Platts Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Peters officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
