AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into eternal rest and peace at home on August 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband, George D. Stephenson of Augusta; a son, Stephen Lake Stephenson D.C. of Augusta; a daughter, Victoria Heimall of Vernon, N.J. and six grandchildren. Mrs. Stephenson was a native of Dublin, Ga., a graduate of Westminster Preparatory School in Atlanta and Wesleyan College in Macon, and did graduate work at Emory University. She was a long-time volunteer and a two-term president of the Board of Directors of the Girls Club of Augusta. She was an active member and devoted Sunday School teacher at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, serving on several committees, her favorite being the wedding committee. She loved her family, her church, her charities and chiropractic. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2002, in the Chapel of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Dr. Bob Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends in the gathering area following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church at 1330 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta, Ga. 30904 and to the St. Joseph Hospice at 2260 Wrightsboro Rd., ,Augusta, Ga. 30904.
