Jackets blow late lead

SALISBURY, Md. - Delmarva's Adam Manley struck out the first time he faced Augusta's Kevin Huang with the game on the line.

He made sure he came through on his second chance.

Manley's bases-loaded single with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning off Huang gave the Shorebirds a 5-4 victory Sunday afternoon at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

The Shorebirds (34-16) loaded the bases on a walk, a single and an intentional walk. With one out, Huang got Bryan Bass to hit into a fielder's choice to second baseman Juan Salazar, who threw home to force Brandon Littleton at the plate. Huang then gave up the game-winner to Manley.

Huang also had a rough ninth inning. After relieving Dan Generelli with the GreenJackets up 4-3, Huang got Bass to ground out and struck out Manley. However, Ryan Lehr launched a home run to tie the game.
