  • ICE SKATING

  • ROAD RACING

  • July 22-27: Mountain High Running Camp, in western North Carolina, for high school cross country runners.   • Sept. 7: The City of Aiken will hold the 25th annual Whiskey Road Race. Participants may register at Citizens Park II, or by mail. There are five races and entry fees are: 10K-$15; 2 mile-$12; 1 mile-$8; 1/2 mile-$5; Tot Trot-$5. Entries postdated after Sept. 2 must add an additional $5 fee. For those registering late, it will be held at H.O. Weeks Center inside Gym #1 on the day of the race, from 6:45 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. The race will begin at 7:30.   • Aiken-Augusta Swim League will be holding two tryout sessions for the 2002-03 season. Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards for freestyle and backstroke. Aiken tryout will be July 29 at USC Aiken from 4-5 p.m. for 10-years-old and under, and from 5-6 p.m. for 11-years-old and older.
