EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Celia "Pauline" Hefner, entered into rest July 19 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2002, at 2p.m. at Platts Funeral Home on Crawford Avenue, Augusta, with Rev. Rich Bowen and Rev. Larry Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Westover Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Arrington, 2834 Mount Moriah Road, Matthews, Ga. or at Platts Funeral Home, Sunday evening from 6 to 9p.m. Mrs. Hefner was a retired Civil Service Secretary, a member of the New Hope Worship Center, Grovetown, Survivors include three sons, Paul W. Arrington, Wrens, Max T. Arrington, Matthews, and Barry L. Arrington, Evans; two brothers; Henry L. Carter, Martinez, and Pierce H. Carter, Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and great grandchildren, and best friend Dessie Pate. Pallbearers will be Victor D. Arrington, Tony L. Arrington, James E. Arrington, Bradley D. Arrington, Coby Harrell, and Chuck Carter. Honorary Pallbearers will be JoAnn Mullis, Esther Reville, Bonnie Sue Waldoch and Brandie Gay. James Funeral Home- Wrens, GA.
