Michael McGinnity has joined the Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta and Country Suites Augusta Riverwalk hotels as director of sales and marketing.

Lamar Outdoor Advertising of Augusta announced two recent promotions: Adam Carnahan as vice president/general manager; and Debbie Reeves as sales manager.

James P. "Bubba" Helton Jr. has joined Morgan Keegan & Co. Inc. as vice president of its Augusta office. Mr. Helton, previously employed by PaineWebber, is an Augusta native and a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Doug Tice has joined Professional Lending LLC as a loan officer, responsible for originating FHA, VA, Conventional and special program mortgage loans for the Augusta office. He is a graduate of Augusta State University and is a native Augustan.

Ann Pehle, Mike Clayton, Tom Meier, and Paul Sandel have been added to the senior management staff of Textron Golf, Turf and Specialty Products.

Kimberly Bushnell was promoted to senior accountant in Elliott Davis LLC's Augusta office. Ms. Bushnell earned her master's degree in accounting from the University of Georgia. She is a native of Marietta, Ga., and a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Michelle Cunningham has been elected a banking officer for SunTrust Bank, Augusta. Mrs. Cunningham joined SunTrust in 1997 and in January was named assistant branch manager of the Forest Hills office. She will continue to manage the branch's daily operations.

RSI Retirement Services Inc., a third-party retirement plan administrator, announced the following new hires: J.J. McKinney as compliance/operations manager; Karri D. Criminger as distribution administrator; and Jessica Pahl as payroll processor.

Hi-Tech Power Systems Inc. announced the following staff changes: Beverly A. Connor, who has worked with the company since its inception in 1986, has been named company president; Tommy A. English, who has several years of equipment sales and rental experience, has been hired as sales manager.

Kelli Fulford has been promoted to branch manager of First National Bank & Trust Co.'s recently opened Grovetown office. The Augusta native has 13 years banking experience in Columbia County and was previously branch manager in the Martinez office.


Scott A. Atkins, vice president of Atkins and Associates Realty Co., has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. The designation by the Chicago-based CCIM Institute is for recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing and asset management fields.

Andy Jones president of Gerald Jones Honda, was elected to serve as the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association's chairman for 2002-2003.

The second-generation car dealer has served on GADA's board for 12 years. He manages a chain of Augusta-area dealerships started by his father, Gerald Jones, in 1974. Andy Jones became a partner in the business in 1982.

He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1985 with a degree in finance. He and his wife, Connie, have two children.

Gwen Fulcher Young has been awarded the 2001 Sterling "R" Award by the Georgia Association of Realtors.

MCG Sports Medicine Center physical therapist Paula Finley and senior athletic trainer Lisa Cummins recently received the Outstanding supporter Award at the Greater Augusta Swimming (GAS) Annual Celebration

Georgia Bank & Trust Co. announces John T. Chandler, mortgage loan officer, as top producer for June.

A.G. Edwards, an investment firm with an office in Augusta, tied for J.D. Power and Associates' highest ranking for investor satisfaction in this year's study of full-service brokerages. Worth magazine this year named the company its "Editor's Choice."

Textile World magazine honored Avondale Mills Inc., with the 2002 Innovation Award for its continued commitment to innovation, investment in technology and ability to succeed. The award was presented June 28 at the Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta.

The Greater Augusta Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors named the following financial professionals to its 2002-2003 board of directors: James M. Balchin, president; James M. Herrington, president-elect; R. Terry Lawson, vice president; B. Jackie Herrington, secretary/treasurer; Marvin D. Timm, Sr., executive director; Patricia R. Campbell, community service/public relations; and John W. Bailey, home service.
