AUGUSTA, G a.- M rs. Jean E. Weathers,73, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2002, at St. Josephs Hospital, as a result of complications with Lymphoma. At the request of Mrs. Weathers,a graveside service only will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Sunday, July 20, 2002 at 3 p.m. Rev. Frank Barker and Rev. Marion Jay will be officiating. Mrs. Weathers was a native of North Texas, but had resided in the Augusta area since 1954 and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Richard C. Weathers, Augusta, three daughters, Sandra (Wilson) Smith, Waynesboro; Carolyn (Chuck) Clark, Evans, Laurel Pieper, Grovetown;two sons, James R. "Rusty" (Beverly) Jennings, Martinez; and Daryl (Kim) Davis, Hephzibah; three stepchildren, Amy Villermin, Sulphur, La., Tracy Toma, Grovetown, and Mark Weathers, Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jim Edgar, Tulsa, Okla., Ed Edgar, Albany, Texas, and three sisters; Lena Duncan, Tulsa, Okla., Mary Farley, Tulsa, and Alma Fischer, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Whispering Pines Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2002, at Poteet Funeral Home South between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m.
