AUGUSTA, Ga. - Julie L. Jordan, age 98, of Augusta, passed away, Thursday morning, July 18, 2002 at Windermere Health Care. A native of Charlotte, N.C., she had resided in Augusta most of her lifetime. "Miss Julie" was always happy and had a smile for anyone that she met. She had lived a long and happy life enjoying six generations of her family and was loved dearly by each and every member of her family. Mrs. Jordan had attended Cornerstone Fellowship Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Leroy Jordan, who passed away in 1996, and one son, Charles M. Jordan. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Erickson, Augusta, one son, James R. Jordan, Huntington Beach, Calif.; one sister, Docia Moore, Augusta; six grandchildren, Michael Murphey , Augusta, Vivian M. Irwin, Walden, Tenn., Lenora M. Bailiff, Augusta, Deborah M. Campbell, Augusta, Evona Craig, Orlando, Fla.; Rodney Jordan, Redding, Calif.; 17 great grandchildren; 22 great, great grandchildren; and two great great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4p.m., Saturday, July 20 ,2002 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, with Dr. Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
