AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest July 15, 2002, at the residence, Mr. John T. Holden, 66, of Augusta, husband of the late Mary Ann Gibeaut Holden. Survivors include one son, Mr. Andy Holden; two daughters, Pam McMahon and Tam OBrien, all of Atlanta. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Hankammer and one brother, Joseph Holden Jr. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was raised in North Fairfield, Ohio. He graduated with a degree in business from Bowling Green State University and was also honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Mr. Holden, was employed for most of his life in the LP gas industry as the owner and general manager of Holdens Gas & Appliances in North Central Ohio. He was a District Governor for the Lions Club of Ohio in 1971-1972, and was a third degree Knight, of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Teresas Catholic Church in Augusta. He was recently inducted into the 40 & 8 of the American Legion and was newly appointed Post Vice-Commander. Mr. Holden was also a member of the Green Jackets Booster Club.
